Context
Bubbleizer is a media experiment that blurs the boundary between reality and virtuality.
Approach
Visitors blow virtual bubbles into a real water basin, then touch, move and burst them together while their breath shapes the soundscape.
The Bubbleizer is a medial experiment which blurrs the differences between reality and virtuality. The visitor blows virtual bubbles into a real water basin using a straw. The Bubbleizer gets its special haptical appeal from the water the virtual bubbles swim in. With his hands the visitor can play with the bubbles, push them or make them burst. The amount of air that has been blewn into the bubbles affect the computer generated sounds that occur.
Multiple visitors can interact with the Bubbleizer simultaneously. Some fill the field with bubbles while others play with the messages the bubbles carry.
